Faber Castell 111th Anniversary Castell 9000 Pencil Set
The colour had to be green, just like the colour of his regiment! This was the decision of former officer Alexander Graf von Faber-Castell when he introduced a new, revolutionary pencil in 1905: it has a hexagonal shape that won’t roll off the desk, comes with a first-class lead and is available in 16 degrees of hardness. However, Alexander Graf von Faber-Castell couldn’t even conceive of the fact that this product, his creation, would become a classic – nearly unchanged – 111 years later. In 2012, the Anniversary Castell 9000 Pencil was augmented with a Jumbo version with an extra-thick graphite lead.
Our experience: The jumbo size pencil is a great pleasure to hold and has the same iconic green colour of the original version. It’s thought 111 years ago still remain relevant till today. Each pencil has a different thickness and darkness differentiated by the grade of the graphite.
