Namiki Yukari Royal Night Scene of Pavilion
The Namiki Yukari Royal Night Scene of Pavilion has always been an all time favourite for many pen collectors who liked the serenity and imagination of resting and admiring the pine trees in a pavilion perched on the cliffs.
Following the successful Namiki Emperor Pavilion made since 1990s, the Namiki Yukari Royal Night Scene of Pavilion is an answer to many who prefers a smaller size pen that fits well in smaller size hands and delivers the magic of Namiki pen.
Made by urushi Master, Michifumi Kawaguchi 倫史, the maki-e master uses high relief taka maki-e on the avalanche of spring water from high grounds. Subsequently, taka-togidashi maki-e technique are used to illustrate the flow dynamics of water as it races downstream which then flows through the crevices of rocks. Gold dust is then sprinkled sparingly on the barrel to highlight the pavilion and the pine trees.
The pen clip is even maki-e with lacquer to show the uniqueness of this beautiful pen. Each Namiki Yukari Royal Night Scene of Pavilion is fitted with a size 20 18kt gold nib and presented in a paulounia wood box.
