Launching Veuve Clicquot’s latest house vintage, La Grande Dame 2012 with an original design of the case and bottle also serves as Kusama’s tribute to the La Grande Dame of Champagne, Madame Clicquot.
Back in 2006, Yayoi Kusama gave new life to an original portrait of Madame Clicquot using her famous polka dots pattern. For this collaboration, Yayoi Kusama demonstrated her iconic polka dots and redefine them as champagne bubbles that embody the latest vintage of Veuve Clicquot.
The champagne serves as a marriage made in heaven between prestigious Veuve Clicquot and Yayoi Kusama ingenious creativity to celebrate the vintage as the champagne honouring women. Both Madame Clicquot and Kusama shared similarities from their childhood as they grew up in a strict family upbringing. Both celebrated their enormous success in their respective field.
